"Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. It is one of the highlights of our trip to Peru.  No one can believe we did a half-marathon on our vacation.  We actually took two full days to recover after the race...then headed to Huaraz and climbed to a 5100m pass in the mountains. It was great to see the difference from the mountains to the coast."
-Sig, Canadian Traveler to Peru

"I would put the Pacamsayo Marathon in the category of an ´Ultra Marathon´. Certainly that's what my legs are telling me today!! It had everything to challenge the runners, wind, hills, sand, rocks, and long stretches of lonely road! But I have to say the organization for this event was one of the best I have seen, probably THE best given the number of runners. I am sure I will be telling my grandchildren about it in years to come!"
-Jim Woods, from Central Hong Kong

"It was great to feel so welcomed by the parade, and to see probably most of the people from the small towns that we ran through come out to give us high fives and encouragement as we ran through their towns.  The race was one of the most scenic races I have participated in, for an excellent price that included just as many ammenities as any organized race in the United States (many fruit/powerade/water/snack stations spread out through the entirity of the race, great markings directing the runners, bathrooms, emergency assistance available, the T-shirt and goody bags, the pre-race pasta dinner, the list goes on).  It was such a fantastic experience, and there is no other place I would have rather run my first marathon."
